Mary Howard, Founder of Design Technologies, will deliver a virtual presentation entitled "The Acceleration for Biosciences in Connecticut Program,” on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. via Zoom webinar. Free and open to the public, this lecture is presented by the Inventor’s Association of Connecticut (IACT), with support from Fairfield University’s School of Engineering.

Howard’s lecture will discuss the Acceleration for Biosciences in Connecticut program (ABCT), a competitive entry program initiated by the State. Now in its fifth year, ABCT has become a staple of Connecticut bioscience acceleration. During this virtual lecture, participants will learn about ABCT and hear from alumni who will talk about the transformational impact ABCT had on their innovation efforts in biosciences.

Howard is a serial entrepreneur and founder of Design Technologies, which delivers four biosciences commercialization programs in the Metro NY area including ABCT, ELabNYC, Westchester County Biosciences Accelerator and Next Milestone. Over 250 companies have launched representing the largest pipeline of new ventures in the metro region. Venture alums include Landos (IPO 2021), Monogram Orthopedics (Reg A), Kures (Acq. Atai Life Sciences), Carespeak Communications (Aqu. Optimize Rx), EHR Console (Aqu. Teladoc), Cresilon, Yiviva, BioHarmony, Agamon, Hyro, avoMD.
