FAIRFIELD, Conn. (September 27, 2017) — After the success of last year's performances of Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny , the Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia is returning to the Quick Center on Sunday, October 15 at 3 p.m., with two more childhood favorites: Guess How Much I Love You and I Love My Little Storybook .
In Guess How Much I Love You , the sweet Nutbrown Hares go back and forth, competing poetically to proclaim their love for one another. Penned by Irish author Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram, it "is a [story] which both parents and children adore and...a book any adult will happily read over and over again at bedtime" ( The Guardian ). Celebrating more than 20 years of success, this children's favorite has sold more than 28 million copies worldwide and been published in 53 languages.
I Love My Little Storybook is the story of a little bunny who lies on the grass and watches the stories in his book come to life in fascinating detail. Written and illustrated by Anita Jeram, this bedtime favorite endears children to both reading and imagination.
Guess How Much I Love You & I Love My Little Storybook were adapted, directed and designed by Jim Morrow, with music by Steven Naylor, and narration by Beau Bridges. Dreamy set design and soft puppetry evokes Jeram's original illustrations.
