Behavioral Interviewing — Professional Workshop at Fairfield University March 25

FAIRIFELD, Conn. (March 8, 2017) — Fairfield University Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions (GSEAP) presents a workshop series free and open to the public, hosted by Paul Maloney, PhD, professor of the practice in industrial and organizational psychology at Fairfield University.

The Unlock your Professional Potential workshops are part of GSEAP’s continued efforts in promoting community enrichment and are designed for the working professional, focusing on skills that will improve workplace performance, professional relationships and help further career advancement. The final installment of the workshop series focuses on Behavioral Interviewing andwill take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017 .

“Unfortunately, many interviewers do not take the time to plan and structure their interviews,” said Dr. Maloney. “As a result, they don’t know where they are going and if they have arrived! Research perennially demonstrates that structured interviews are more effective than unstructured interviews.”

Using behavioral models, cases and role playing, participants will be able to:

Maloney’s extensive corporate experience spans over 30 years in change management, communications, executive feedback and coaching and presentation skills. His career includes a long line of senior management and development positions at NBC, Mobil Oil Corporation and PepsiCo International. Maloney has been a consultant for American Airlines, Covidien, GE, Schering-Plough and Kodak, among many national and multi-national corporations.
