What: This presentation will focus on trademark protection issues for new products/service offerings and will focus on: (a) the development, clearance and protection of trademarks, logos, slogans, and trade dress used in connection with new products and/or service offerings; (b) review impact of social media on protection issues, and (c) strategies for implementing a trademark protection plan and associated costs.

Who: Featured speaker, Terrence J. McAllister practices in all areas of trademark and copyright law with Ohlandt, Greeley, Ruggiero & Perle, LLP, and (OGRP). He has extensive experience counseling clients on all facets of protecting U.S. and foreign trademark portfolios, including the availability and commercial advisability of proposed trademarks; trademark clearance, prosecution, infringement, licensing, domain name, and social media matters. Mr. McAllister has participated in numerous trademark and copyright programs for the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Westchester-Fairfield Corporate Counsel Association and the Fairfield County Bar Association. He also participates in the Pro Bono Partnership Volunteer Attorneys Serving Nonprofits by offering his services to Westchester based nonprofit businesses and organizations seeking advice and counsel on various IP related issues.

Before joining OGRP, Mr. McAllister was Trademark and Copyright Counsel for NYNEX Corporation (now Verizon) and AT&T.
