Top-notch list tells which schools are launching grads into desirable jobs

LinkedIn has named Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business one of the country's best schools for accounting professionals.

The impressive list, in which the Dolan School of Business landed in the number seven spot out of 25 institutions, is part of a new series of tools LinkedIn is offering to help students decide where to attend college and how to make career decisions.

What the professional networking site did was rank schools based on how successful recent graduates have been at landing desirable jobs. The official LinkedIn blog explained it this way: "By analyzing employment patterns of over 300 million LinkedIn members from around the world, we figured out what the desirable jobs are within several professions and which graduates get those desirable jobs. As a result, we are able to rank schools based on the career outcomes of their graduates."
