At Fairfield University, Dr. Deupi was founding director and chief curator of the Bellarmine Museum of Art, which welcomed many thousands of visitors since opening to the public in October 2010. Dr. Deupi curated close to 20 loan shows at the Bellarmine and Fairfield's Thomas J. Walsh Art Gallery, which she directed since 2013, securing significant external support from a range of donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations. Highlights of her programming achievements include the establishment of a distinguished lecture series in the visual arts funded by the Robert Lehman Foundation, the implementation of a hugely successful Family Day program at the Bellarmine Museum, and the development of a broad range of programming in arts education and engagement. She instituted the museum's cultural tours abroad program and oversaw its recent inclusion as a member of the Connecticut Art Trail. Dr. Deupi also served as an Assistant Professor of Art History at Fairfield since 2008.

"While we at Fairfield are pleased for the new opportunity which has been presented to Jill, she will be greatly missed," said Lynn Babington, Ph.D., RN, Fairfield University Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. "Her scholarship and curatorial expertise are of the highest standards, and the vision she brought to the Bellarmine Museum of Art has been realized with many accolades from colleagues in the art world, the art press, and the thousands of patrons, young and old alike, who have experienced the museum. Her expertise and boundless energy have contributed to the Bellarmine's positioning as one of the region's leading exhibition and educational facilities. She also enhanced the exhibitions and programming at the Walsh Gallery in her recent elevation as Director of University Museums."

At the University of Miami's Lowe Art Museum, Dr. Deupi will direct Miami-Dade County's oldest and only comprehensive visual arts institution.
