The formal dedication will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

Sgt. Krshisezki served for 28 years in Fairfield University's Department of Public Safety, the majority as a sergeant. He had many strengths, but one in particular was his medical expertise. He was an EMS Instructor for Fairfield University and a former EMT for AMR Ambulance of Bridgeport. He oversaw the EMT course offered by DPS and certified hundreds of School of Nursing students and Athletic coaches for both Fairfield University and Fairfield Prep in CPR and First Aid. He also founded the Campus Public Safety Officer Training Academy, which will be offered for the 6th consecutive year later this summer.

Frank Ficko, Associate Director of Public Safety, commented, "They say people and the positions they held can be replaced, but that's not the case when it comes to Alex. He wore "many hats" in his role with Public Safety, and wore them all with pride and distinction”.

Fairfield University's 2012-2013 Student Affairs Yearbook was dedicated to Sgt. Alex Krshisezki. In the dedication, Fairfield University President Rev. Jeffrey von Arx, S.J., writes: "We are all, in some way or another, responsible for the care and well-being of our students. Alex set an extraordinary example of how best to carry out this responsibility. He will be missed but not forgotten."

Sgt. Alex Krshisezki was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and was a resident of Milford, Conn. He died in June 2013 at the age of 57.
