What: Three Generations of Song IV
The program features a wide range of works ranging from Mendelssohn, Vivaldi, and Verdi, to Benjamin Britten and Stephen Schwartz. Choirs will perform individually, with the concert finale featuring a combined performance of works by Paul Halley. "This program is a celebration of the state of the Choral Art in Connecticut, proclaiming that choral music is alive and thriving throughout our region," said Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M., Director of Choral and Liturgical Music at Fairfield University. "Involving choristers of all ages, we are pleased to showcase three outstanding choirs representing similar choral programs throughout Connecticut."

Information: The Fairfield University Glee Club is conducted by Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M., with accompanist Beth Palmer, and the Reverend Charles H. Allen S.J., Chaplain. The Glee Club numbers over 140 Fairfield University undergraduate and graduate singers. Members will also perform solo and in a variety of collaborations. Also performing are The Bensonians, an all-male a cappella group, Sweet Harmony , an all-female ensemble of chamber singers, and the Chamber Singers under the direction of Dr. Maxwell. The Fairfield County Children's Choir is led by Jon Noyes, Music Director and Founder. Conductor is Kevin Cotellese, with accompanists Donna Beatty and Lisa Bettke, and percussion by Peter Hohmeister. T he Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut is led by Carole Ann Maxwell, DSM, Artistic Director and Conductor, with accompanist Beth Palmer, and violinist solo by Darwin Shen.
