Image: DSB On Thursday, September 4 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business will host a breakfast for corporate professionals: "From Classrooms to Corporations: Effective Partnerships with Universities," a free, interactive seminar that focuses on the future of business education and strategies for connecting with new talent. The event will feature the Dolan School's dean, faculty and professional staff, and is for managers, human resource professionals, and recruiters seeking to gain the latest skill set on finding new talent.

Company decision makers are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring a guest. The seminar, complete with breakfast, will be held in the Dolan School of Business Dining Room. There is limited space and reservations are required. Please RSVP by Thursday, August 28, 2014 to Patrick Pivarnik who can be reached at ppivarnik@fairfield.edu , or by calling (203) 254-4307.

Donald E. Gibson, Ph.D., professor of management and dean of the Dolan School of Business, will discuss where business education is headed and how the Dolan School strives to prepare students to meet corporate needs. A panel - featuring representatives from Fairfield University's Career Planning Center, the Dolan School's Director of Internships, innovative corporations, including Indeed.com and Deloitte, and a student - will suggest ways that corporations can engage with schools to find the "right" talent. Breakout groups will broach strategies for connecting with new talent, and ask for feedback on what business schools can do better to prepare students for the working world.
