Fairfield University discussion about how inventors can achieve their potential

Image: Dolan School of Business Fairfield University will host a discussion for inventors and entrepreneurs to help them determine the potential of their products, inventions, and technology, on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 7 p.m. Manny Ratafia, an entrepreneur, management consultant, and angel investor, will be the speaker.

Free and open to the public, the event will take place in the Dolan School of Business Dining Room. It is made possible by support from Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business and the School of Engineering, in collaboration with the Inventors Association of Connecticut.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own venture, invention, or product to present for discussion at the event.

Ratafia, who has founded and run ventures in a variety of technology areas, will discuss how to assess the market potential of an invention, new product or new technology. He will also present alternate approaches to commercializing new products or technologies, from licensing out to building a company. Ratafia will review commercialization projects he has been involved with, drawing from his years as a consultant to companies that make medical devices, medical imaging machines, consumer products, plastics processing, high tech materials, among many other industries.
