Fairfield University Stags "Paint The City Red" Sept. 10 at ABC's "Good Morning America" Show

Image: Stag fans Fairfield University , with over 20,000 alumni in the New York City metropolitan region, will celebrate "Back to College Week," at ABC's "Good Morning America" show on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 .

Members of men's and women's basketball teams, women's soccer and field hockey teams will join cheerleaders, band members, "Lucas the Stag," members of Stags in the Stands and the Student Association, boarding the Stags Country bus to make the 50-mile trip to meet up with Fairfield University alumni on Times Square for the early morning live broadcast (7 a.m.-9 a.m.).

Fairfield University is a Jesuit University, with more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students from 36 states, and 47 foreign countries. Fairfield's 20 varsity teams play at the Division I level and the University is a charter member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Fairfield annually boasts among the best student-athlete graduation rates in the nation.

The Fairfield Stags men's basketball team plays at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, and is coached by Sydney Johnson, former head coach at Princeton. The Stags are the top mid major team in the region and have the best overall record of the MAAC schools during the past decade.

The Fairfield Stags take on the national champion Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, November 23, in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame tournament at Mohegan Sun in Montville, CT.
