Fairfield University professor reads from her poetry at Fairfield University Bookstore

Image: Carol Ann Davis Carol Ann Davis, author and faculty member in Fairfield University's MFA in Creative Writing Program, will read from her poetry on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. at Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield. This event is free and open to the public.

The reading is sponsored, in part, by the University's College of Arts and Sciences, the Department of English and is part of the Inspired Writer series of the MFA program.

Davis is the author of "Psalm" (2007) and "Atlas Hour" (2011), both from Tupelo Press. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry and the W.K. Rose Fellowship for the Creative Arts from Vassar College. Her recent work has appeared in "Agni," "American Poetry Review," and "Volt," and on the ArtBeat website for PBS' "Newshour."

She served as editor of the literary journal "Crazyhorse" for 11 years and she is currently assistant professor of English at Fairfield.
