Where: Bannow Science Center atrium, Fairfield University, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, Connecticut

When: Friday, July 26, 2013 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Details: BASE Camp (Broadening Access to Science Education) is designed to engage female students in Bridgeport high schools in hands-on, research-based experiences in the natural sciences, engineering and mathematics to inform and excite them about the process of science and future careers. The students live on campus for two weeks and work with faculty and undergraduates on their on-going research projects, presenting their work to fellow students, family and friends during the final poster session.

The camp, including meals and lodging, is free to students and sponsored by The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparity Populations, part of the National Institutes of Health.
