The Fairfield University Glee Club presents Music for a Winter's Evening

Image: Glee Club Who: The Fairfield University Glee Club conducted by Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M., with accompanist Beth Palmer, and the Reverend Charles H. Allen S.J., Chaplain. The Glee Club numbers over 120 Fairfield University undergraduate and graduate singers. Members will also perform solo and in a variety of collaborations that include Sweet Harmony, Lindsey Gorgol, Nicole Raposo, and Diana Lordi, Directors, The Chamber Singers, and The Bensonians, Rob Preli, Director.

What: Music for a Winter's Evening: The Reverend Vincent J. O'Connor Memorial Concert .
The varied program includes compositions by Wolfgand Amadeus, "Kyrie" and "Sanctus" from Missa Brevis, K.220, and Ave Verum, K. 618; "Vienna" by Linda Eder, "Home" from The Wiz by Charlie Smalls, "Freedom Trilogy" by Paul Halley, and a tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

The Fairfield University Glee Club performs a varied repertoire of early, classical, and contemporary music in numerous engagements with other choruses, and with Festival and Symphonic Orchestras. Upcoming performances include "Mozart Meets Motown Spring Concert" at 8 p.m. on April 20, 2013, at Fairfield Univeristy's Regina A.
