The speaker will be Jonathan Hartman, who currently serves as the Disruptive Technologies Lead for Sikorsky Innovations, the technology development organization of Stratford, Conn.-based Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. He'll discuss the bi-annual competition that is used to identify future potential partners and increase collaborative efforts between the small business community and Sikorsky - the world leader in vertical flight solutions.

"Selected entrepreneurs will join an extensive network of technical experts, business mentors, strategic partners, potential customers, and experienced investors working together to spark the next big thing," said School of Engineering Professor Doug Lyon, Ph.D., who is also IACT president.

In his role with Sikorsky, Hartman champions the identification and maturation of game-changing technologies, and the creation of new processes for collaborating with innovative companies and organizations. He's responsible for technical project management, small business acquisition, academic partnerships and talent acquisition. His technical portfolio includes future vehicle concepts, next generation energy storage, and dedicated unmanned systems.
