Fairfield University's Veterans Day Observance event to feature campus veterans reflecting on serving during wartime

Image: Fairfield University What: Veterans Day will be observed at Fairfield University with a panel discussion, "Telling Our Stories," featuring members of the campus community who are veterans or current members of the military. Participants will share an array of perspectives on what it is like to serve in a war, and what life is like as a veteran or being related to one. The event is co-sponsored by the School of Nursing and the Office of Student Diversity Programs.

When: Monday, November 12, 2012, 1:30 p.m.

Where: Barone Campus Center, Lower Level, the Fairfield campus.

This is an FYE Magis event for first year Fairfield University students.

Additional events: Mass will be said in honor of veterans, in the Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola, at 12:10 p.m. Adopt-a-Soldier Program, with opportunities to send cards and care packages to soldiers and veterans, will take place from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Barone Campus Center. Maria Mazzaro, Class of 2014, will sing the national anthem during this event.
