Invitations to join Fairfield's chapter of the honor society were extended to junior and senior Dolan School of Business students, and graduating master's students in the school on the basis of academic excellence and integrity, according to chapter president Mark Ligas, Ph.D., associate dean and director of Graduate Programs. The ceremony at Fairfield inducted the top 10 percent of students in the Dolan School's junior class, the top 10 percent of students in the senior class, and the top 20 percent of students in the various business graduate programs. Dr. Ligas presented the Beta Gamma Sigma honor cords with Cathy Giapponi, Sc.D., degree, associate professor of management, who received the annual Teaching Excellence Award at the ceremony.
