Image: Leo Live Art lovers around the world have been clamoring for tickets to the National Gallery of London's sold-out exhibition, "Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan." But you don't have to: On Thursday, February 16, Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will screen the new documentary "Leonardo Live," which offers a close-up look at the exhibition's masterpieces in HD from the comfort of The Quick's Kelley Theatre.

The film will begin at 7 p.m., but arrive early for "De-Coding Da Vinci - Seeing is Believing," a 6:30 p.m. pre-show talk with Philip Eliasoph, Ph.D., professor of art history at Fairfield.

Tickets for the evening are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors and children, $5 for students and Fairfield University faculty/staff.

The show features seven of da Vinci's 14 surviving paintings and some 60 drawings, with most of the work drawn from his tenure as court painter to Ludovico Maria Sforza in the late 15th century. The exhibition brings together the largest-ever number of da Vincis in one place, including a new, never-before-shown painting, leading London newspaper The Telegraph to crown it "...the greatest exhibition of the century."

In the film, British art historian Tim Marlow walks viewers through the galleries, providing expert commentary on some of the most significant pieces and talking to special guests along the way. HD technology reveals the works in astonishing detail. Run time is 105 minutes.

Tickets are available through the Quick Center Box Office: (203) 254-4010, or toll-free 1-877-ARTS-396 (1-877-278-7396). Tickets can also be purchased online at www.fairfield.edu/quick .
