Fairfield-Siena game on February 25 to be aired on ESPN2

Image: Men's basketball The Fairfield University-Siena College men's basketball game scheduled for February 25 will be broadcasted live on ESPN2. The announcement was made by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and ESPN this afternoon. The game will be played at the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard.

The game was selected as a wild card game in which ESPN selects two games from the February 25 MAAC schedule to air on the ESPN2 and ESPNU networks.The other MAAC game selected was Saint Peter's vs. Iona which will air on ESPNU beginning at 9 p.m.

The Siena game will mark the fourth time that the Stags will play in front of a national audience via the ESPN networks. Fairfield played Loyola on January 14 and Iona on February 4 on ESPNU. The team will play Austin Peay as part of the Sears Bracketbusters on February 19 which will be televised on ESPNU beginning at 1 p.m.

The Fairfield University men's basketball team, under Head Coach Ed Cooley, owns an 18-5 overall record and an 11-2 MAAC mark. The Stags currently stand in first place in the MAAC standings, holding a two-game lead over Saint Peter's College (9-4 MAAC). Fairfield returns to action on Friday, February 11 when it travels to Manhattan College for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
