Comic Jim Breuer to play the Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University November 5

Image: Jim Breuer The outrageous comic Jim Breuer, known to his many fans for his "Goat Boy" character on "Saturday Night Live" and lately for his Sirius Satellite Radio show, will play the Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University on Friday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 and $40 and are available at the Quick Center Box Office: (203) 254-4010; toll free 1-877-ARTS-396 or online at fairfield.edu/quick . Jim Breuer's appearance is an Arts & Minds presentation.

Breuer has established himself as one of the most outrageous comedians in the U.S. through his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show.

He first came to prominence on "Saturday Night Live," which he joined in 1995. His impression of actor Joe Pesci resulted in the recurring "Joe Pesci Show" sketch. When Pesci made a surprise appearance on "SNL" to confront the comedian, they created one of the most memorable skits in the show's history. That skit was immortalized in the documentary "101 Most Unforgettable Top SNL Moments."

Breuer has gone on to star in the movie "Half Baked," with Dave Chappelle, host "MTV's Beach House" and be named as the host of VH1's popular show "Web Junk 20," where he guides viewers through the top 20 viral clips of the week.

He pioneered the "heavy-metal comedy" revolution, combining his love of rock ‘n' roll with comedy. Backed by a full band, Jim has entertained packed crowds with his impressions of AC/DC's Brian Johnson doing "The Hokey Pokey" and Metallica singing, "If You're Happy and You Know It."

Breuer also shows his fans a softer side with his "Family Man" show, where he brings hilarious anecdotes about being a family man to life through charismatic stage antics and impressions. Nothing is sacred with Breuer as he introduces the audience to his family with sidesplitting stories about his Dad (a.k.a. "Shuffles"), going to tap dancing lessons and gymnastics with his daughters and more.

As host of the popular "Breuer Unleashed" Sirius Satellite Radio show on RawDog 104, he has interviewed a wide variety of guests including Chevy Chase, Bill Cosby, Howard Stern, Luke Wilson, Sugar Ray Leonard and Martha Stewart as well as Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.
