Fairfield University's Weekend Immersion Program teaches French, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin April 23-25

University College Fairfield University offers Spanish, French, Italian and Mandarin in a Weekend Immersion Program through University College April 23-25 for those interested in improving their language skills.

"Advanced beginner speakers will improve to intermediate-level in three full days," says Dr. Joel Goldfield, academic director of the Weekend Immersion Program (WIPs). Through the good humor and energy of the Rassias Method® language, learners can leap to a new level of oral proficiency.

Deadline for registration is March 31.

The WIP is given in partnership with University College at Fairfield University and the Rassias Center for World Languages and Cultures at Dartmouth College. The dynamic method used in the program was developed in the 1960s for Peace Corps volunteers by Professor John Rassias, president of the Rassias Center.

Tuition is $535 and includes working lunches with the staff. A preliminary phone interview is required and will be conducted prior to arrival for the WIP.

For more information, call University College at (203) 254-4110.
