Program on Haiti - A time for healing, hope and action

Where: John A. Barone Campus Center, Lower Level and Egan Chapel of St. Ignatius Loyola

Schedule of Events:

1:00-2:00 p.m. : Haiti , an introduction to the history and current situation - Speakers will include Larry Miners, Economics Department; Winston Tellis, School of Business; and Charles MacCormack, President and CEO of Save the Children.

2:00-3:00 p.m.: Faces of Haiti - voices from our university and neighboring communities who have been directly impacted by the crisis.

3:00-4:00 p.m.: Open Student Forum - an opportunity for students to respond to what they have heard; reflect on the crisis; share ideas about what they would like to learn or hear more about as we move forward with a focus on the issue; propose ideas related to action and organizing.

4:30-7:30 p.m.: All are invited to the Dining Hall for a Haitian dinner. A $5 voluntary donation will be accepted for Haitian relief. Barone Campus Center Dining Hall.

9:00-10:00 p.m.: Mass of Healing for Haiti celebrated by Father Churchill Penn, a native of Haiti and leader of the Haitian community at St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Bridgeport. Egan Chapel.
