Saturday, November 7 at 8 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents an all Schubert program with Christopher Maltman, baritone, Inon Barnatan, piano and Liza Ferschtman, violin. Robert Sherman holds a pre-concert Art-to-Heart from 7-7:40 p.m. Tickets are $35.

Saturd Image: Cicero Aereo ay, November 14 at 8 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts

Finnish export, Circo Aereo , is widely recognized throughout Europe as a pioneer of New Circus. In performing Espresso, this beautiful "theater without words" mixes traditional circus arts such as juggling and aerial work with innovative cabaret theater, movement and charming humor. Tickets are $40, $35, $30.

Friday, November 20 at 8 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts

Paula Poundstone is famous for her razor-sharp wit and spontaneity. Paula is so quick and unassuming that audience members at her live shows often leave complaining that their cheeks hurt from laughter and debating whether the random people she talked to were "plants." Tickets are $45, $40, $35.

Sunday, November 22 at 3 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts Image: Sara Tavares

Growing up between African and Portuguese cultures, Sara Tavares is a multi-cultural contemporary music performer. She has won prestigious Portuguese TV music competitions and has composed beautiful songs full of gospel, soul, funk and traditional African rhythms. Her sweet voice and positive lyrics have a modern sound that encompasses the sounds of her cultural roots. Tickets are $35.

Dance America

Friday, November 6 at 8 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts

Ronald K. Brown founded Evidence, A Dance Company , to create dance stories in response to the human condition. Brown explores traditional dance forms from Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America with modern and urban dance to convey his experiences and perceptions and to compose emotionally charged pieces that speak directly to a person's core. Here, he presents his newest work, "Two-Year-Old Gentleman," a highlight of the evening. Tickets are $45, $40, $35.

The Met Live in HD

Sunday, November 8, Encore performances at 12 noon & 6 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts

Director Franco Zeffirelli's breathtaking production of Puccini's last opera, Turandot , is a favorite of the Met repertoire. Maria Guleghina plays the ruthless Chinese princess of the title, whose hatred of men is so strong that she has all suitors who can't solve her riddles beheaded. Marcello Giordani sings CalĂ f, the unknown prince who eventually wins her love and whose solos include the famous "Nessun dorma." Andris Nelsons conducts. Reserved seating. Rabbi Marc Schneier, the 2009 Adolph and Ruth Schnurmacher Lecturer in Judaic Studies , speaks on "The Jewish Muslim Dialogue: The Interreligious Challenge of the 21st Century." Rabbi Schneier is the president and founder of The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding and the founding Rabbi of The Hampton Synagogue and The New York Synagogue. Image: Niall Ferguson Open VISIONS Forum presents Niall Ferguson , best-selling author of "The War of the World" and "The Ascent of Money." Ferguson is also host of the PBS series, "The Ascent of Money." Tickets are $45.

E. Gerald Corrigan , a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, is the 2009 Charles F. Dolan Lecturer . Mr. Corrigan is a former President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Admission is free.

Tuesday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m., PepsiCo Theatre

Guest artists for the R & J Project, director Barbra Berlovitz and costume designer Sonya Berlovitz will lecture on the creative process surrounding this unique production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to be presented by Theatre Fairfield in spring 2010. Barbra Berlovitz is one of three founders of the 2005 Tony Award-winning theatre company, Theatre de la Jeune Lune founded in Paris, France. Admission is free. Friday, November 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 21 at 3 p.m. & 8 p.m., Quick Center for the Arts - Wien Experimental Theatre

Live Radio Dramas presents "Lights Out." Frank Jacoby directs radio's premier horror series created by writer/director Wyllis Cooper. Debuting in 1934, it was one of the first radio shows that used sound effects to stimulate the imagination of radio listeners. Jacoby directed the very first televised "Lights Out" in 1951. Tickets are $25.

Thomas J. Walsh Art Gallery

September 16-December 6, Quick Center for the Arts

Robert January's figural works: The solo exhibition entitled, "Art & Human Consciousness" will include January's drawings and paintings, as well as his photographs of historic art, which inspired January to paint. Gallery conversations will be presented by Jean Clottes, Dr. Frank Wilson and other specialists in conjunction with the exhibit.

Admission to the gallery is free. The hours are: Tuesday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m. Closed Monday. The gallery is always open when performances occur at the Quick Center.
