The students' community outreach efforts are a major part of Lead Elimination Action Program (LEAP), a public health program targeting children at-risk for lead paint poisoning that offers financial assistance for families to make their homes lead safe. LEAP is a partnership between the School of Nursing and the Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust (BNT). For more information about LEAP, call (203) 332-7977.

Fairfield students have also been performing the shows in Trumbull and Stratford as part of a course, 'Nursing of Children and Family,' taught by Eileen O'Shea, DNP, RN, assistant professor of nursing.
