David Plouffe, author of The Audacity to Win, speaks at Fairfield University's Open VISIONS Forum November 4

David Plouffe was the architect of President Barack Obama's successful campaign and it is said he also changed the face of politics forever and re Plouffe energized the idea of democracy itself.

In promotion of the Nov. 3rd release his much-anticipated, "The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory," (Penguin) Plouffe will appear at Fairfield University's Open VISIONS Forum on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 8:00 p.m. in the Oak Room at the Barone Campus Center. This is the first lecture in a series dedicated to the memory of Dr. John Orman, Fairfield University professor of politics. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by calling (203) 254-4110.

"The Audacity to Win" chronicles the arrival of a new moment in American life at the convergence of digital technology and grassroots organization and the exciting possibilities revealed by a campaign that in many ways functioned as a $1 billion start-up with laser-like focus and discipline. In this extraordinary book, Plouffe unfolds one of the most important political stories of our time, one whose lessons are not limited to politics.

Plouffe will speak briefly, answer questions and then will sign books. Join us for a rare opportunity to meet and hear a part of history.
