Fairfield University's low-residency MFA in Creative Writing program is once again bringing a colony of prominent writers to Enders Island in Mystic, where the public is invited to listen to six evenings of readings by the authors. Admission is free and seating, which is limited, will be on a first-come, first serve basis.

Access is by way of Mason's Island Road with signs showing the way to Enders Island. Books will be on sale at Enders Island before and after the readings; the authors will sign books following the readings.

Kim McLarin , author of the critically acclaimed novels, "Taming It Down," "Meeting of the Waters," and, her latest, "Jump At The Sun," all by William Morrow.

Jennifer Lauck , whose several memoirs include the New York Times bestselling "Blackbird" and internationally acclaimed "Still Waters" and "Show Me the Way."

Michael White , author of "Soul Catcher" and "Dream of Wolves," and director of the MFA in Creative Writing program.

Monday, July 20, 2009 at 8 p.m.

Roya Hakakian , a filmmaker and poet whose memoir, "Journey from the Land of No: A Jewish Girl Caught in Revolutionary Iran," was a Barnes & Noble Pick of the Week.

Mary Szybis t, whose book, "Granted," was named one of the ten best poetry books of 2003 by Library Journal and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Da Chen , author of The New York Times bestseller, "Colors of the Mountain," which was published in six other languages and compared to "Angela's Ashes."

Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 8 p.m.

Kim Bridgford , a professor of English at Fairfield University and editor of "Dogwood" and "Mezzo Cammin" whose books include "Undone," nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

Sue Silverman , whose memoir, "Love Sick: One woman's Journey Through Sexual Addiction" (W.W. Norton) is also a Lifetime television original movie.

Baron Wormser , the author of seven books of poetry, co-author of two books about teaching poetry and former poet laureate of Maine.

Josip Novakovich , a novelist ("April Fool's Day") and short story writer and essayist whose work was anthologized in Best American Poetry and the Pushcart Prize collection.

Pete Duval , one of five finalists for the prestigious 2004 Los Angeles Book Prize in First Fiction for his book, "Rear View."

Paul Lisick y, author of "Lawnboy" and "Famous Builder" whose work has appeared in Five Points, Ploughshares, and many anthologies and magazines.
