Sci-fi radio invades Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts with Salvage Vanguard Theater's The Intergalactic Nemesis March 14

The award-winning Salvage Vanguard Theater of Austin, Texas never dreamed "The Intergalactic Nemesis," a sci-fi adventure radio serial they began performing in an Austin coffee shop thirteen years ago, would see the meteoric rise in popularity that has occurred and endured over the years on a national level. Now, the company invades Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts with a rollicking performance on Saturday, March 14 at 8:00 p.m.

The nationally acclaimed family friendly production of "The Intergalactic Nemesis" is a hilarious melodramatic radio drama with great writing, original music, live sound effects and a group of talented actors that plays dozens of delicious characters who have generated a cult following that is legion. Devoted fans have embraced the show and through enthusiastic "intergalactic" introduction to fledgling fans, it has evolved into a national touring event that has spawned Podcasts, iPhone web apps, a website-wide scavenger hunt, games, a graphic novel and much more.

With boundless imagination and provocative sound effects, the cast of characters - including Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and publishing heiress Molly Sloan; her intrepid assistant Timmy Mendez; Ben Wilcott, a mysterious stranger and librarian; Jean-Pierre Desperois, an Algerian freedom fighter; and Mysterion the Magnificent, a world-famous mesmerist - traverses planets Earth, Robot and Zygon playing out their destinies ... for good, evil and orbits in-between.

The event is more than a play it is a live radio experience in which the audience becomes the "studio audience" for a performance in "RadioVision."
