"Cooperating in Ministry" is theme of Living Theology Workshop at Fairfield University April 25

On Saturday, April 25, Fairfield University's Center for Catholic Studies will present a Living Theology Workshop, entitled "Cooperating in Ministry." The workshop, free and open to the public, will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon, in the Dimenna-Nyselius Library Multimedia Room, on the Fairfield campus. The theme of the workshop will focus on exploring the working relationships between the clergy and the laity in the parish setting.

The presenters will be Rev. John P. Baran, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield, and Eleanor W. Sauers, Ph. D., director of Religious Education at the church. Fr. Baran, who grew up in Shelton, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fairfield University and a Master's of Divinity from St. John's Seminary in Boston. He was previously associate pastor of St. Joseph's Church in South Norwalk and parochial vicar of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Fairfield.

Dr. Sauers, of Fairfield, earned a bachelor's degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. She earned both a master's degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Fordham University's Graduate School of Religion and Religious Education.
