The Fairfield University Early Learning Center to receive blessing by the University President October 22

What:
The Fairfield University Early Learning Center opened in September 2008 and on Wednesday, October 22, President Jeffrey von Arx, S.J. will offer a blessing in celebration of its opening. Joining Father von Arx for the celebration and brief remarks will be Dean Susan Franzosa, Dr. Barbara Welles-Nyström, and Tara Abate, a representative of Carousel, the company managing the ELC.

The Early Learning Center is designed to provide quality daycare services at a reasonable cost for the children of faculty, staff, students and alumni affiliated with the University and Fairfield Prep communities. The Center also serves as a resource for the study of early childhood development in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions and the School of Nursing. It is a total learning center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

Fairfield University President Jeffrey von Arx, S.J., Dean Susan Franzosa, Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions (GSEAP), Dr. Barbara Welles-Nyström, associate professor of early childhood education in GSEAP and the educational advisor to the Early Learning Center.
