University College at Fairfield University enters into strategic partnership with Point & Click Inc.

University College at Fairfield University has entered into a strategic partnership with Purchase, N.Y.-based computer consulting firm Point & Click Inc. to deliver noncredit courses ranging from desktop applications to supervisory skills.

Point & Click's focus has been technology, whereas University College offers a wide array of organizational development courses. Now students can access both of these tools through one source, said Patricia Brunetti-Pivarnik, director of noncredit programs for University College.

University College will host an Open House, free and open to the public, on July 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Fairfield University Alumni House to provide business professionals with information about Project Management skills needed today and in the future.

"We are hoping that this free breakfast seminar will expose many Fairfield County businesses to our new strategic partners and the Project Management courses we will now be able to offer," Brunetti-Pivarnik said.

The partnership will greatly benefit the customers and clients of both organizations, said Brunetti-Pivarnik. This joint venture will enable University College to offer project management and technology training classes to its clients, at either their corporate sites or on the Fairfield University campus. It will also enable Point & Click to round out its course offerings with business seminars such as Business/Technical Writing, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership, Management Skills, Meeting Management, Mentoring and Coaching Skills, Presenting with Confidence, and many others.

Point & Click has been delivering training to its clients in New York City, Westchester and Fairfield counties since 1995.

The company offers desktop application training for a variety of programs including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project, FrontPage, and many others.
