Fairfield University hosts open advising and registration event

Fairfield University offers a wide range of bachelor degree completion programs for part-time students through University College, the School of Engineering and the School of Nursing as well as certificate programs and personal and professional enrichment courses for adults of all ages. To showcase its course offerings for the spring semester, Fairfield will host an open advising and registration event on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008 on campus from 12 noon to 7 p.m. at the Kelley Center.

As part of this event academic advisors will be available to provide information about bachelor degree completion programs in the subject areas of accounting, communication, engineering, marketing, nursing, professional studies and a wide range of other liberal arts majors. Certificate program information will be provided in the areas of real estate, interior design, financial planning and human resource management. For lifelong learners seeking enrichment classes there are courses in art history, politics, literature, religious studies and a wide range of other subjects.

Classes are offered in flexible and convenient day, evening, weekend and online degree formats that are compatible with the busy lifestyles of working adults. Attendees may bring their transcripts to receive advising in order to map out a plan of study all the way to graduation. Students can transfer up to 75 college credits and earn credit for work and life experience. Fairfield offers reduced credit cost for part-time students. Course registration will be available onsite during the event. Fairfield University's spring semester begins on January 14, 2008.
