What: University College's Elizabeth Hastings, director of community and lifetime education, announced today the cancellation of this month's popular One Day University. "All weather reports indicate that this area will be hit by a second major snowstorm Saturday night and in view of that, we made the decision to cancel," Ms. Hastings said.

About: One Day University consists of one stimulating day of diverse college classes taught by four award-winning professors from the world's finest schools. Disciplines include Political Science, Music, Psychology, History, Earth Science and the Humanities. Lunch is included. To kick-off 2008, University College has already scheduled two One Day University days: Saturday, Jan. 19 and Sunday, Feb. 24. Advance registration is required. The fee is $219 per student.
