Fairfield University welcomes GE International President & CEO Ferdinando 'Nani' Beccalli-Falco to speak about GE's place in the volatile global marketplace

On Monday, September 10 at 7:30 a.m., Fairfield University will host a presentation featuring Ferdinando 'Nani' Beccalli-Falco, the president and chief executive officer of GE (General Electric) International, who will talk about being at the epicenter of the rapid internationalization of Fairfield-based GE.

Mr. Beccalli-Falco's talk, entitled "Megatrends in Global Business," will touch upon the conglomerate's place in the global marketplace as it continues to evolve at a breakneck speed.

The free lecture will take place on the Fairfield campus at the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, which is celebrating this year the 30th anniversary of Fairfield University establishing the School of Business. Please R.S.V.P. to the University's Office of Special Events at (203) 254-4000, ext. 2660. Due to space considerations, seating is limited.

Fairfield University President Rev. Jeffrey P. von Arx, S.J., who is hosting the event, said that Mr. Beccalli-Falco will provide students with rich educational lessons in how a Fortune 500 company is evolving today in the global economy. "He has had a stellar career at GE, and we are looking forward to his sharing his vast knowledge of business with the community."

Norm Solomon, Ph. D., dean of the Dolan School, said Mr. Beccalli-Falco will spark a dynamic conversation about global business. "Of particular interest to our faculty and students as well as the public is the key role he is playing in the continuing and rapid internationalization of GE. His visit will give us a rare opportunity to learn a corporate executive's inside view about the challenges and opportunities facing this industrial giant in the increasingly globalized marketplace."
