Reduced Shakespeare Company brings riotous show to Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts April 21

The Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University welcomes the wildly popular Reduced Shakespeare Company on Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the theatre, the Reduced Shakespeare Company boldly goes where few would dare - Tinseltown! America's "bad boys of abridgement" have a brand new show: "Completely Hollywood" (abridged). RSC savages America's largest export, the famed west coast entertainment conglomerate, with a fast-paced, funny and physical take on everyone's favorite target. Roll out the red carpet and get your clapperboards ready as RSC rummages through reels, flicks and films to give Hollywood the ultimate facelift!

The London Times praised RSC resoundingly after a recent successful stint: "Their satiric salute to Hollywood got a standing ovation. They are irrepressible. Genuinely funny." And back on American shores, the Pittsburgh City Paper chimed in with the ultimate review, "It's impossible not to have a good time."

The RSC tours with only three cast members, and yet, presents an extravaganza of hilarious versatility. They have been "reducing expectations since 1981" and, with great skill.  The only thing that isn't reduced is the laughs.
