Fairfield University names Robert P. Cottle Director of Corporate Relations | Press Releases

Robert P. Cottle has been named Fairfield University's new Director of Corporate Relations, Acting Vice President for University Advancement Fredric Wheeler announced today.

In his position at Fairfield, Mr. Cottle will serve as the Advancement Liaison to both the Charles F. Dolan School of Business and the School of Engineering. He will also provide principal staff support to the chair and members of the annual Fairfield University Awards Dinner Committee, and manage the corporate stewardship program.

Of the appointment, Mr. Wheeler noted that Mr. Cottle will work with the various schools and offices to develop a comprehensive corporate relationship program that promotes Fairfield University as a corporate resource.

Mr. Cottle, commenting on his appointment, said, "Fairfield University has upheld a standard of excellence for more than 60 years. I am excited to assist in furthering Fairfield's mission and build on the accomplishments of the past."

Mr. Cottle was most recently the Director of Development of ARI of Connecticut, which enriches the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families by providing residential options, jobs and support services. Prior to that post, he served in two separate capacities at Sacred Heart University, as Director of Alumni Relations from 1999 to 2002, and then Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving from 2002 to 2005.

Mr. Cottle earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University in 1990. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and a graduate of Leadership Greater Bridgeport.
