Diana Mille, Ph.D., director of the Thomas J. Walsh Art Gallery at Fairfield University, will present the first of four Director's Choice lectures in Modern and Contemporary Art on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 12:30 p.m. The hour-long talk will take place in the gallery, which is located in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. It is open to the public.

Lecture-goers can also view the gallery's current exhibition, the National Sculpture Society's 2006 Annual Awards Exhibition, which includes about 50 works from artists working in a variety of media across the country. It will be on view until Sunday, Dec. 10.
