Theatre Fairfield presents "A Class Act" at Fairfield University

Theatre Fairfield, the resident production company at Fairfield University, will present "A Class Act," its second show of the 2005-06 season. Performances will take place Thursday, Dec. 8, through Saturday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at the PepsiCo Theatre on the University campus.

The show is a collaboration of the Creative Writing Program and Theatre Fairfield, under the co-direction of Kim Bridgford, Ph.D., an English professor who supervises the writers, and Marti Schmoyer LoMonaco, Ph.D., professor of Visual and Performing Arts, who directs the performers.

Act Two is entitled "Creative Excursions." Seven student pieces, originally conceived and directed, incorporate song, dance, mime, video, and improvisation, through both solo and ensemble work. Jared Mezzocchi, '07, has created a multi-media piece that merges the two worlds of film and theatre. Darci Fulcher, '07, is leading an ensemble of eight women who reveal the truth and beauty of how women view themselves in the mirror. Kara Ryan, '06, conceived an artistic piece that makes an anti-war statement entitled "Actions Speak Louder Than..."
