Beyond the varsity athletes, the coaches, officials, cheerleaders, bands and all the many fans that will converge on the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport this weekend, is another important story.

The opening rounds of the NCAA Division I Women's Championship, hosted by Fairfield University and its Athletics Department, provide an unsurpassed opportunity to showcase the City of Bridgeport and the surrounding region as a first class venue for big-time sports and entertainment.
