"Live Lit!" series continues with readings on marriage at Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

The Regina A. Quick Center's "Live Lit!" series continues Sunday, Nov. 9, with "On Marriage," a look at fin-de-siecle matrimony through the eyes of three fine short story writers. Afternoon tea will precede the 3 p.m. performance by seasoned, professional actors in the Quick Center's Wien Experimental Theatre.

The afternoon begins with Ivan Klima's "Divorce" performed by Frank van Putten of Redding Ridge. Westport resident Tess Link, who also directs the Live Lit! series, will present "The Birthday Present" by Andrea Lee. The final story of the afternoon is Julian Barnes' "Hygiene" performed by Bridgeport resident Tom Zingarelli.

"The Live Lit! series adds another dimension to literature, bringing the magic and electricity of the words to life," said Deborah Sommers, the Quick Center's director of programming. "The series' intention is to celebrate these authors and their words, exploring the works of both well known and emerging writers."

The season's final Live Lit! event takes place Sunday, Dec. 7, with "Icons of Russian Literature," which ties in with the Quick Center's ongoing Russian Arts and Letters Festival. The readings will include works by Gary Shteyngart, Alexander Pushkin and Anton Chekhov.

Tickets are $10 for each afternoon of readings. For tickets, call the Quick Center box office at (203) 254-4010 or toll free at 1-877-ARTS-396. For more information, visit the website, www.quickcenter.com.
