Fairfield University offers three seminars for women focusing on health, achievement and financial independence

From menopause to the marketplace, University College at Fairfield University will address some of the major issues facing women in three seminars next month.

Menopause, cardiac issues and osteoporosis, three major health concerns important to women as they age, will be the focus of the first seminar in the series, "Facts You Should Know About Your Mid-Life Health." Dr. Suzanne Campbell, Ph.D., APRN, WHNP (women's health nurse practitioner), and assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Fairfield University, will address healthful nutrition, preventive measures and holistic care at the Saturday, March 1, session.

"Women are so busy taking care of others that they don't take time to take care of themselves, or to think about their own health and well-being," Dr. Campbell said.

Ready for a change? Unsure of your success? Considering a new career? "Discovering and Developing Your Personal Best," on Saturday, March 8, will instruct attendees in the art of setting goals that enable them to achieve their personal best. Edna Farace Wilson, Ed.D., and dean of University College, will give participants an understanding of what makes successful people and help them identify their formula for overcoming obstacles to become peak performers.

The series will round up with "Financial Independence," an interactive approach to cash and risk management, retirement planning and estate taxation, on Saturday, March 15. Jean H. McGuire, CLU (chartered life underwriter), CHFC (chartered financial consultant), will teach participants the tools to secure their financial independence.

All of the seminars, which must be purchased as a package for $79, will be held on Fairfield University's campus at 10 a.m. For further information or to register, please call (203) 254-4307.
