Image: Joseph Peller New York City artist Joseph Peller will give a lecture and lead an informal gallery walk-through, Saturday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. during an opening reception for his exhibit at the Thomas J. Walsh gallery at Fairfield University. The opening reception will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibit, "The Essential Moment - A Survey of the Paintings, Works on Paper and Sculpture of Joseph Peller," runs June 7 through August 4. Peller is known for his depictions of everyday urban life; his oil painting, "Arachne," captures a garment worker on her coffee break, while "Sunset Lower Manhattan" offers a view of the city's industrial skyline.
