Fairfield University to offer classes in Danbury

Fairfield University's School of Continuing Education will be offering undergraduate courses this fall at the Cendant Mobility corporate headquarters in Danbury at 40 Apple Ridge Road. It is a flexible, accelerated program that leads to the Bachelor of Professional Studies. Students may also take the business and liberal arts courses to fulfill degree requirements for other Fairfield degrees.

The program is accelerated with five 7-week semesters per year from September through June. Courses are scheduled to meet once or twice a week from 5:30-9 p.m. To shorten the time it takes to earn a degree, students may also take courses on-line, or at the Fairfield campus, or seek credits for life/work experience.

The open enrollment program allows for convenient access to registration. Students may register for courses and begin immediately.

Dr. Edna Wilson, dean of the School of Continuing Education, said, "We are happy to be in the Danbury area. With the Cendant site we are able to provide courses for Cendant Mobility employees as well as area residents." She said Fairfield would continue to explore other program options for residents of Danbury and the surrounding region.
