Fairfield University Continuing Ed to offer Certificate in Financial Planning

The School of Continuing Education will offer a Certificate in Financial Planning beginning this fall. The program is designed for people working in financial planning, insurance, banking, investments, accounting and law as well as other professionals interested in financial planning. The curriculum is designed to meet and exceed the criteria set by the CFP Board of Standards.

To enroll, students must have completed an associate's degree and preferably a bachelor's degree. All courses are taken on a non-credit basis.

The courses include: Fundamentals and Principals of Personal Financial Planning; Investment Planning; Insurance Planning and Risk Management; Federal Income and Property Taxation; Retirement Planning and Employer Sponsored Benefits; and Estate Planning.
