Fairfield University enters Best National Universities ranking for first time placing among Top 125 Best National Universities by U.S. News & World Report

Fairfield was the highest ranked institution among the 60 institutions moving into the Best National Universities ranking for the first time.

As Fairfield continues to excel as a values-based, student-centric, outcomes focused institution, Fairfield was recognized 29th nationally for Best Undergraduate Teaching Universities, and ranked among the top 75 private institutions in the national universities category.

Fairfield University is the top ranked institution among schools that moved into the National Universities category this year by U.S. News & World Report, placing at No. 115. Among private institutions in the National Universities category, Fairfield placed in the top 75.

“We are excited that this distinction reflects the evolution and innovation of our academic programs as we are answering our call to be a university of national prominence.” said Mark R. Nemec, PhD, Fairfield University President.

Fairfield University earned the No. 29 spot among national universities ranked for Best Undergraduate Teaching.  U.S. News & World Report also recognized Fairfield among the top 50 for Alumni Giving Rank and among the top 100 for Graduation and Retention Rates, and in the Best Colleges for Veterans category, Fairfield placed in the top 75.

The University’s inaugural year on the Best National Universities list also included distinctions among schools and program specialty rankings. Fairfield’s School of Engineering and Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies placed in the top 100 nationwide.

Fairfield’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business’ undergraduate programs were ranked No. 164 on the Best Undergraduate Business Programs list, moving up two spots from last year. The Business Analytics program was ranked No. 15, Finance No. 21, Marketing was ranked No. 37, and Accounting was ranked No. 39.
