Quick Center Broadcasts NT Live's "Of Mice and Men" on Nov. 6
James Franco and Chris O'Dowd fans, rejoice! Your favorite actors are coming to a screen near you on November 6 when the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts presents two National Theatre Live encore broadcasts of the Broadway hit Of Mice and Men. Tickets are now available for both the 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. screenings.
Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee James Franco (127 Hours, Milk) and Tony Award nominee Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids, Girls) star in this landmark revival of Nobel Prize winner John Steinbeck's play, a powerful portrait of the American spirit and a heartbreaking testament to the bonds of friendship. The production was nominated for two Tony Awards, including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for Chris O'Dowd.
"Director Anna D. Shapiro (August: Osage County) packs shading and meaning into an evocative production in which danger lurks everywhere," wrote New York Daily News critic Joe Dziemianowicz.
Tickets are $25, $20 seniors, $15 children/students, $10 for groups of 10 or more students. For tickets, contact the Quick Center at www.quickcenter.com or (203) 254-4010.
