Students packed Gonzaga Auditorium to witness lip sync performances during Week of Service to raise money for nOURish Bridgeport.
To wrap up the Dolan School Week of Service, last week Dolan students hosted another successful Lip Sync Battle where students, faculty, and staff went head-to-head for the title of lip sync champion. A $5 admission fee was charged to raise money to support local charity, nOURish Bridgeport, a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization that strives to better the lives of those in need in partnership with United Congregational Church in Bridgeport. New this year, the event was hosted on stage in Gonzaga Auditorium.
“The second annual Lip Sync battle was another great success for Week of Service and it would not have been possible without the help of our sponsors and administration at the Dolan School of Business,” said Week of Service planning committee member, Joseph Pisano ’18. “The contestants had great performances which all benefited a good cause.”
First place was awarded to seniors Macey Hollenshead and Kristen McLaughlin for their performances of “The Time” by The Black Eyed Peas and “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry. Second place went to Dawn DeBiase, assistant dean and director of undergraduate programs at the Dolan School, accompanied by Colby Lemieux, associate director of Academic Success and Retention, Andrea Martinez, assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Kristen Zimmerman, associate director of Academic Support and Learning Services.
This year’s Dolan School Week of Service was sponsored by The Circle Inn and Hotel Hi-Ho, and Synchrony Financial.
