Fairfield Basketball Set for MAAC Championship Action

The Fairfield University men’s and women’s basketball teams are both set to open the 2016 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship in the quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 5. Action from Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. began with First Round play on Thursday, March 3 and will continue through the MAAC Championship Games on Monday, March 7.

As the No. 4 seed in the MAAC Championship, the Fairfield women’s basketball team will meet No. 5 Monmouth on Saturday, March 5 at 2:30 p.m. On the men’s side of the bracket, the fifth-seeded Stags will challenge fourth-seeded Saint Peter’s on Saturday, March 5 at 9:30 p.m. live on ESPN3.
