Fairfield University landed high up on Time’s Money magazine’s list of Best Colleges for Business Majors. Fairfield was ranked #9 among the top 10 best colleges for business majors in the U.S., which include Notre Dame, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Richmond.

According to Money, “Nearly one in five graduates earned a bachelor’s degree in business in 2017," making it the most popular undergraduate major in the U.S. To determine the “Best Colleges for Business Majors” specialty rankings, Money looked at how many business degrees a college awards each year, both as a raw number and as a share of all the degrees awarded, and “weighed the earnings business-degree holders reported to PayScale.com within three years of graduation, excluding alumni with graduate degrees. The 10 colleges at the top of the list have average early career salaries of more than $66,000.”

“The recent ranking from Money magazine is more evidence confirming the quality and value of business programs of Dolan School of Business, and the excellent and relevant teaching of our high-caliber faculty,” said marketing professor and dean of the Dolan School, Zhan Li, DBA.

Graduate programs of Fairfield’s Dolan School of Business were also named among the best in the nation according to the 2019 “Best Graduate Schools” ranking by U.S. News and World Report. These rankings are based on ratings by business school deans and directors of accredited MBA programs from the list of schools surveyed.
