Glee Club Concert to be Livestreamed via Facebook Live, Dec. 1

The concert will feature holiday favorites and contemporary arrangements.

Can't make it to the Quick tomorrow afternoon? You can still catch the Fairfield University Glee Club's annual holiday concert, “Christmas Treasures” on Saturday, December 1 at 2 p.m., via livestream on Fairfield University's Facebook page

In “Christmas Treasures,” the Glee Club will explore contemporary settings and arrangements of beloved, revered carols including musical combinations of “Silent Night” with “America the Beautiful,” and the spiritual “Mary Had a Baby” with the choral theme of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. A gospel-style treatment of “O Come Emmanuel” heralds the coming of Jesus and will be complemented by the extraordinary arrangement of “Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent” and the pop favorite “Mary, Did You Know?”

Founded in 1947, The Fairfield University Glee Club is the oldest club on the Fairfield University campus. The members share a deep love for music and a common desire to achieve excellence in it. The Glee Club has over 100 undergraduate and graduate singers. Their voices explore a wide variety of repertoire, allowing audiences to experience diverse styles of music and enriching programs that challenge and inspire.

A few tickets are still available for Saturday's performance, through the Quick Center Box Office at quickcenter.fairfield.edu or by calling 203-254-4010 or toll-free at 877-278-7396.
