Stags Chosen for Jesuit Basketball Spotlight Sunday at Boston College

Fairfield tips off with the Eagles on ACC Network Extra at 1 p.m.

Sunday's Fairfield University Women's Basketball game at Boston College has been selected by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) to be part of the 10th annual Jesuit Basketball Spotlight. All of the action from Chestnut Hill will tip off at 1 p.m. live on ACC Network Extra .

"We are very thankful and excited that our game against Boston College has been chosen to be the Jesuit Basketball Spotlight game," said Joe Frager, head coach. "Fairfield and Boston College are two outstanding universities that embody Jesuit values and ideals. Boston College is a talented, well-coached team from the ACC, so it's a big challenge for us and we are looking forward to it."

The men's game in this year's Jesuit Basketball Spotlight features #14/15 Gonzaga playing host to #23/25 Creighton on Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2.

The Jesuit Basketball Spotlight (JBS) was founded by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in 2008 in response to member institutions' desire to share the message of Jesuit higher education through the more than 80 basketball games in which Jesuit institutions play each other every season. In addition to sharing a rich academic and spiritual tradition, all 28 U.S. Jesuit colleges and universities have men's and women's basketball teams that have produced student-athletes who live out Jesuit values every day.
